Australia promotes trade and investment with other countries, including Vietnam

After the visit to 5 special partner countries (USA, Korea, Japan, Singapore and Vietnam) of the Australian Trade Minister (lasted for 2 weeks from 11/7), former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbot will visited India in early August to promote special economic and trade ties with India within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

For Vietnam, earlier, on July 1, the Australian Government announced the promotion of trade opportunities with Vietnam to support jobs and domestic businesses; towards the goal of strengthening trade relations, becoming the top 10 trading partners of the two Parties and doubling investment.

The Australian Government offers a support package worth AUD 2.5 million (about 1.84 million USD) for 28 small-scale projects to create associations and strengthen business cooperation for businesses, such as:

+ 99,475 thousand AUD (about 73 thousand USD) to expand production technology, certify organic food and develop trade between Vietnam and Australia.

+ 56,160 thousand AUD (about 41 thousand USD) supporting education, international experience and capacity building for 20 Vietnamese female entrepreneurs.

+ 995 thousand AUD (about 69 thousand USD) to help Australian businesses develop and diversify export goods and supply chains in the Vietnamese market.

The Australian Government’s Australia-Vietnam Economic Enhancing Commitment Grants (AVEG) pilot program will open doors for industries from industry and agriculture to education, digital technology, and supply chains of small and medium enterprises.
